Let's Get Real: A Life Update Blog Post

Gooooood morning @missjessparker family! I’m currently reporting to you LIVE from a coffee shop here in Los Angeles as I write out my little post for you all! I know that there is a lot of new pop culture content coming out today (the new Fantastic Four trailer dropped this morning, a new Wicked trailer is expected to release), but we all know how I feel about trailers—after the first teaser, it is NOT for me (though, I will be watching the Wicked trailer today 👀 I count that as a teaser). So unfortunately, I can’t give much of my opinion on that because I am avoiding spoilers at all costs—though, I already saw a handful for Fantastic Four (☹️). But then, I guess, that leaves the big question—what is today’s blog post about?

Honestly? I have no real topic I want to write on today. I think I just kind of want to chat real thoughts with you all on this one. A little life update, a little talk about mental health, and all of the above. We are living in a really dark time in the world right now, and I don’t know about you guys, but it has really been getting to me lately. Heck, usually I spend my time writing these blog posts in my little Tangled corner of my room and enjoy my quiet time in my own space. But I was quite literally so stuck in my own head today that I HAD to get out of the house. And so here I am, with the whirring sounds of an espresso machine, a caramel iced latte to my right, and an escapism from my thoughts as I kind of journal my brain out to you all on this lovely Wednesday morning.

Thunderbolts* has really got me diving deep lately into my thoughts on my own void. I want to start being more transparent with you all about my life behind the screen, behind my skits and the content you see on my page. Life online can be so curated sometimes, and I like that I have created a little blog space to be able to be more open with you all. My depression and anxiety have been kicking my ass lately, and sometimes it can be really hard to get out of that space. Like, I know what I need to do to make myself feel better, but it can be so hard to implement that. But we’re taking it day by day, one little bit at a time. The fact that I even went to work somewhere other than my room today is a HUGE win on my part, I think.

So why am I telling you all this? Because I hope that somewhere, someone out there can read this and know they aren’t alone. That you can know that feeling anxious and depressed isn’t a thing to be ashamed of. It can be so hard to go through that stuff by yourself. I’m someone who really struggles to ask for help, and that’s something I’m slowly getting better at. But for a long period of my life, I would just push everything away and tell everyone I was fine. And I honestly think that how I’m feeling currently is my body and mind’s way of trying to release all my past pushed down emotions as I work through things that happened to me in the past and work on bettering myself now.

I’m about to get a little woo-woo on you guys for a second, but I’ve really been leaning into the concepts of receiving signs from the universe, and I had such a huge *gasp* moment yesterday morning that I cannot help but share with you all. Admittedly, my mornings recently have started with a ton of anxiety and a lot of sad energy. I usually can get back to feeling semi-normal after starting my routine and doing my little morning wellness activities, like yoga or journaling, but I’m still trying to figure out why this is happening. I hate nothing more than immediately starting my day with a jolt of anxiety and bad adrenaline rushing through my body. But unfortunately, that was the way my morning yesterday started out.

I’ve been really trying to combat these feelings recently with grounding myself in some activities that I know bring me joy. I realized this past week how I’ve been slacking on connecting with all of you, my community, and I have been really trying to implement that back into my content creation, because that is one of the things I love most about it! Answering DMs and comments, going live more often, etc. So yesterday I decided I wanted to go live after starting my day. But before that, I had to work on feeling a little better. So I dragged myself over to the kitchen, made myself a little avocado toast to eat, and opened TikTok for a little morning scroll.

Guys. When I tell you the universe is SCREAMING at me that big changes are coming, I am not kidding. I got 5-8 videos in a row on my TikTok For You Page right when I opened the app, with no hashtags, with tarot readings, motivational talks, and positive energy telling me that June is going to be my month, that good things are coming my way, and that I am at a pivotal shift (another reason why I may be feeling so wonky lately—a lot of times right before a big change, your energy can get a little low like mine has been!). I could not believe how many of these I got in a row. Usually I get 1 or 2 here and there, but the universe REALLY wanted me to hear this message apparently. And then I went live on Instagram, and as I was putting my makeup on, getting ready, I looked out my window and saw a yellow butterfly fly by. I’ve been seeing butterflies a lot lately, but most of them have been monarchs (which is also a sign of change) but the fact that this one was SO distinctly yellow (a sign of positivity, hope and transformation) had me stopping in my tracks. Universe, I hear you. This rough patch will be ending soon. I just have to claim it ✨

Mindset shift has been a big thing I’ve been working on, and little things like this have been helping me through it a lot. I don’t know about you guys, but I subconsciously have a lot of negative self talk that I’m trying to work through. It can be so hard sometimes, trying to rewire your brain. I feel like I didn’t realize how often I subconsciously say such mean things to myself until I started taking time to recognize it. It happens way more than I think.

Anyway, my little woo-woo universe rant aside, I hope you all know that you aren’t alone if you’re going through some tough mental health times. It’s more universally felt than most people let on, and everyone you know is probably fighting at least one inner demon, one inner void. Whatever it is you may be going through, I am sending you love and light and positivity that things may get better soon. May this be your sign that June will be your big month of change, too 💕 If you’ve read this far, thank you for taking time out of your day to read my little blogs. It’s been really nice to connect back with this part of content lately, and I hope you all have been enjoying my little journaly check ins and thoughts on current media :)

More to come. I love you guys!

My Go-To Travel Essentials

5/28/2025

Picture
Happy Wednesday, my friends! Since becoming a content creator (and moving across the country from my family) I have started to travel a lot more than I used to. With each trip, I feel that I have found the list of essentials that work perfect for me and my travel days. So here’s my list of things that I simply cannot travel without!

1. Noise Cancelling Headphones

Picture
Between the sound of whatever transit I am on, the noises from other people around me (someone eating, babies crying, people chatting, etc) and also just trying to be able to hear whatever I am watching or listening to, noise-cancelling headphones have become an absolute MUST for me. I love that they let me just zone out, sleep, and relax during the extent of my travel time.

2. Snacks

Picture
Especially as someone who has food allergies, sometimes finding things to eat on travel days can be really tricky for me. And a big lesson that I’ve started to learn over the years is ALWAYS have some sort of meal-replacement food for traveling (especially if you have an air travel day with short layovers in between—you might not have time to find lunch or dinner!). My go-tos are meal/protein bars and Belvita Breakfast Cookies. They are filling, small enough to pack, and have been LIFE savers for me in the past

3. Mini Perfume

Picture
I always have a little mini TSA approved perfume bottle with me. Sometimes just smelling nice can help you feel a little less-gross when you have no time to freshen up after being on public transit. Plus it’s great to have for the duration of your trips!

4. A Good Book

Picture
Sometimes I struggle to find time to actually sit and read something that I want to read during my day-to-day. Having an allotted amount of time being stuck somewhere with nothing to do finally gives me the chance to catch up on the books I’ve been putting off! I just started reading Pride and Prejudice this week (courtesy of and #gifted by the Pride and Prejudice ball that Shay and I went to this past Thursday 🤭). I’ll also sometimes read comics on my phone or iPad.

5. Zinc and Vitamin D

Picture
I’m telling you guys, these things are the BEST. I am kind of a germaphobe, and very often have hand sanitizer with me wherever I go. But especially when traveling, I feel like I am more prone to being exposed to sick people (that’s unfortunately just the nature of traveling). So I always pack myself a little bit of immune booster supplements for my trip! It just gives my body a little bit of an extra fighting chance against the germs, especially when you’re running on little-to-no sleep and dehydration.

6. A Sweatshirt

Picture
Sometimes I’ll be traveling and they will be BLASTING the air conditioning! I always make sure I have some form of a sweatshirt with me for that reason (there’s been too many times in the past where I’ve been shivering away until I reach my destination). Plus, if you don’t end up needing to wear it, you can always bunch it up and use it as a pillow 😌

7. A Portable Phone Charger

Picture
No explanation needed on this one. If I’m using my phone for music, to watch movies, or anything else, I’m going to want a charger with me. And sometimes the usb ports that are offered at your seat don’t always work! Better to have my own than rely on something that may or may not leave me with no power.

What are some of your travel essentials or hacks? I love to see what everyone else is packing, too! :)

Happy travels friends!

Blogs Are Back!

I know, I know, I know. Before you even say it, let me just say it first. I know it's been ALMOST A LITERAL YEAR since I wrote a blog (the last one I wrote was in July of last year 😭) and I am sooo sorry for that, guys. I have been off my game lately! But today I had a little spark of inspiration and thought, you know what? I'm gonna bring the blogs back, because I miss them! And I miss you guys <3

So first of all, hi, hello! Welcome back to my website. It's had a little revamp now, and I'm so excited to be back to chatting with you all again. A lot has happened since I last did my little chatty vibes here, and I figured I'd give you guys a little rundown!

For starters, Ferris Bueller wasn't kidding when he said that life moves pretty fast. I just turned 26 two weeks ago this Friday, and now it's already the middle of May? Where is the time going?! This year is absolutely zipping by.

Well, let's see....in terms of updates, the rest of 2024 consisted of some fun premieres (Agatha All Along!), working on building my other platforms like YouTube and Instagram, starting to post on Snapchat, and my roommate and I threw a very fun, very successful, Spider-Man Christmas Party! I headed home for the holidays, and then at the start of this year I flew to Chicago for a little visit with a friend. Then came back to LA and started working on some more content, and have gone to some fun events lately (pst pstttt Thunderbolts* premiere 👀). And my family just came to visit this past week, which was so lovely!

One thing I haven't really been talking about publicly is my struggle currently with my mental and physical health. It's kind of been an uphill battle since January, and I have been fighting off some sad depression vibes (missing my family and having a difficult time kind of figuring some things out in my life recently). And I also have been going to a BUNCH of doctors over the past few months, both from a standpoint of trying to figure out some symptoms I've had, and also because 26 is the big year when you get kicked off your parents health insurance 🙃 so I was trying to get some appointments done before my insurance changed and I had to find all new doctors in an all new system. It turned out that everything is okay, but I ended up getting a PCOS diagnosis, which honestly explained a lot of the symptoms that I was having. So in that sense, it was good! But for a while I was literally going to a doctors appointment or test like once or twice a week, and it honestly just took so much out of me.

But we've made it past that bump in the road, and I am feeling a lot better! I still occasionally am dealing with some mental health issues here and there, but I have found that journaling and engaging in some creative activities (crochet, coloring, journaling, painting, scrapbooking etc) has really helped me kind of get out of these weird little slumps I find myself in. And obviously, the state of the world right now has certainly been making it a little hard to stay positive, but we do what we can 🥴

All this to say, I am really grateful for all of you that have stuck around through the different eras of ME! I know a lot has changed recently with my username, my content, how frequently I have been posting, etc, and I am really grateful for all of you that have continued to stick by through all of that. You guys are the absolute best.

That being said, now that the blogs are back, what would you all most like to read about in these little chats of ours? More of my day to day life? My thoughts on fandom content? Maybe something else? Feel free to leave a little comment below, or answer my poll in my Instagram broadcast channel! I would love to hear from you guys 🫶🏻

See you all in the next blog post, and hope you all have an incredible weekend!

My Thoughts on The Outset

3/20/2024

Picture
Hello hello helloooooo my friends! I hope your week is going well and you are remembering to eat some snacks, drink some water, and take some breaks. Today I wanted to take a little time to talk about one of the brands that I use in my day to day skincare--Scarlett Johansson's "The Outset" Skincare line! Before I dive in, I do want to clarify that this is NOT a sponsored post, I just really enjoy their products 🤭

I started using "The Outset" around September of 2023 (so about 6-7 months at this point) and found that it has really helped my skin a lot! The basics set comes with a cleanser, a serum, and a moisturizer, and that is basically all I use (besides a sunscreen that I added to my morning routine). It is supposed to have all natural ingredients that supposedly gently cleanse your skin rather than be abrasive or "deep cleansing" like a lot of other products on the market. Here are my pros and cons with having used the products thus far!

Pros:
-My skin has cleared up a lot since using it!
-It's only three steps, which makes it super easy for me to follow through with a routine when I'm not feeling motivated to do my skincare, or am feeling super tired at night.
-The aesthetic of the bottles is very cute <3
-When you run low, you can buy the refill packets and refill the bottles you already have!

Cons:
-Because it is so gentle, if I happen to miss a day or two of proper skincare, my skin breaks out a lot quicker than if I had used other products :( but honestly this just motivates me to keep up a good routine HAHAHA
-It is more expensive than skincare you can buy in stores (like Target).

Other Tips:
-This is more a skincare tip in general, but I found that double-cleansing at night (washing your face once to get the dirt and grime off, and then a second time to ACTUALLY cleanse your skin) works WONDERS. My skin cleared up and the cleanser worked so much better after I started doing that. And also washing your hands before you do your skincare, too. It sounds like a no brainer, I know. But doing that before touching your face helps to not add any MORE dirt or germies to your skin :)
-If you wanted to try it but aren't ready to commit to the full thing, I recommend starting with the travel sizes! That's what I did before buying the big bottles, and it was super helpful to see how my skin responded to the product change without dropping a ton of money on something I wasn't sure about quite yet.

I also own the Purifying Clay Mask and oh my god you guys, it makes my skin SOOOO soft. Like insanely soft, I rinse it off and am still amazed every time at how smooth my skin feels afterwards. I am looking to maybe add the Night Cream into my routine at some point soon, and if I do I'll be sure to post a video update for you all :)

That's all for today! I just wanted to share a little bit about my routine and my thoughts on the products in case any of you were thinking of trying 🥰 If any of you guys use any other Outset skincare products that you think I would enjoy, feel free to leave a comment or DM me! I would love to hear about them!

Have a great rest of your week, and I'll talk with you guys soon!

My Top Five Pop Culture Comfort Characters

3/15/2024

Picture
So many fandoms. So many characters. But only five will make the list. Take your guesses now, because I bet you can guess them all. I talk about them ALL the time, hahaha!

5. Snoopy

Picture
Snoopy is one of those characters that has just ALWAYS been there. Of course, he is always around during the holidays for the different Peanuts holiday specials. But the Apple TV show is also adorable as well! Snoopy is just the epitome of happiness and joy. He's always enjoying the little things, and just being his silly little goofy self. If I'm having a bad day, I always look to him to cheer up :)

4. Marty McFly

Picture
My FAVORITE movie of all time is Back To The Future! So of course, Marty has to make this list. Marty isn't afraid to be himself, and fight for what he believes in. When I need the reminder to do that for myself, Marty is a great character to turn to. He's his goofy self, and he even learns to make the best of a bad situation (I mean, come on. He was literally stuck in the 50s for a week! Sure, that must have been stressful, but try and tell me he did not have a good time, hahaha!).

3. Rapunzel

Picture
She's a dreamer, an artist, kind hearted, loving, caring, and above all, has such a pure heart, even after everything she has gone through. Rapunzel is one of those characters that I am constantly striving to be. I adore her and her reminder to keep dreaming and keep doing. That your trauma and past does not define you. To embrace your artistic creativity and strive to be kind towards others. I adore her <3

2. Bluey

Picture
Some people may say that this is a kids show, and it technically WAS made to be a kid show. But I think that Bluey has been able to help heal so many people's inner child (mine included!) and I very often find myself putting Bluey on in the background while I'm getting ready for my day, or working on a project. Bluey is learning about the world as a child, but is such a great reminder that at heart, we are all just kiddos. Thank you for showing me that I can still be a kid, Bluey 🥹

1. Spider-Man

Picture
I mean, come ON. If you didn't guess that Spider-Man was going to be on the list when you first started reading this blog post, then I'm doing something wrong here. Spider-Man is a HUGE comfort character for me. I love his ability to make the best of a bad situation, and he is just like us. Trying to figure out his way through life. And like I said earlier with Rapunzel, he is constantly looking to try and help people, to brighten their days and lend a hand when he can. Even Peter Parker out of the suit is just as kind hearted as he is with the mask on. And I love that through all of that, Spidey reminds us that it's okay to make mistakes and learn from them. He isn't perfect. And that's what makes him so special and lovable.

Two dogs, a princess, a time traveler and a super hero! I'd say this is quite the list here, hahah! I would love to hear about some of your favorite comfort characters! Feel free to leave a comment below! And I'll catch you guys in the next blog :)

Blogs Are Back!

Oh, hi there!! You thought that my blogs were gone for good, didn't you 😉 Most certainly not! The start of this year has been a little crazy for me as I have been expanding my content and also I have had some things happening in my personal life as well, so blog posts kind of fell off the agenda for a bit. But we are back and better than ever!

If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw that I am currently working on a new cosplay 👀 I want it to be a surprise, so I can't tell you QUITE too much yet, but I can say right now that I am super excited about this one. It's a character from a (non-Marvel) movie franchise that I adore that I have wanted to cosplay for a while! I have been slowly getting the pieces in the mail, but am hoping to have it done and debuted by next week if things continue to go according to plan! Although, that all depends on if everything fits correctly of course 😅 ah, the life of a cosplayer. If you are interested in getting behind-the-scenes and early access looks of my cosplays, you can become a subscriber on my Instagram! I have been uploading stories and posts there as I have updates about my cosplay process 🤭

I also have started streaming on Twitch (yippee!!). I am so excited to announce that I am officially a Twitch Affiliate! If you like Disney Dreamlight Valley (or just Disney in general!) I adore playing that game, and it is typically my go-to game to stream. I'm hoping to also start streaming some other games on Twitch as well (perhaps some Fortnite, The Sims, or Stardew Valley!).

Another exciting thing--I'm really taking some initiative this year to do some more fun side projects! I'll be posting the long form updates on props and costumes to my Youtube as I work on them throughout the year, so be sure to subscribe if you want some cosplay prop inspiration/tutorials! 🥰 (I also love posting Vlogs and Lifestyle videos there too!).

Lots of exciting things happening in the FPP world over the past few months, and it's only going to continue to keep growing! As I am expanding my chats about fandoms and lifestyle, I would love to hear more of what you all are interested in as well! It has been so much fun getting to talk to you all a little bit more about me and my other interests (though, Marvel is never gonna leave! It'll always be here in some way, shape or form 🥰). Feel free to leave a comment below, on my socials, or send me a DM if there is anything specific you'd like to see!

I'm so excited to be back to blogging, and chatting with you all! Thank you once again for sticking around with me throughout my creator journey. Whether you are new here, or have been a long time follower, I am so grateful for your support.

Until the next blog post! See ya then! 🫡

As Taylor Swift once said, "nobody's heard from me for months"...

Picture
...and sometimes that's truly just how life goes, huh?

So first of all. Hey guys! I have missed you all SO so much. It's been quite a while since I have written a blog (like, literally months) and it feels good to sit down and write again. I debated about jumping right back in with my thoughts on The Marvels after seeing it tonight, but I think I want to get a little more personal with this one first. So The Marvels will be next up <3 but how about we catch up a little for now, yeah?

Trigger Warning for the topics below in regard to mental health and depression.

When the SAG-AFTRA strike started, I wanted to show my support and stand in solidarity with both the actors and the writers as they fought for a living wage and fair rights against the use of AI. Everyone deserves to be paid fairly and given fair working conditions, and the unions were long overdue for a contract rewrite as technology has advanced. But standing in solidarity with the actors also meant not talking about my favorite fandoms...which unfortunately also meant no cosplays and no skits.

The first two weeks were really tough on me. Those of you who have been following me for a while know how much the Marvel fandom means to me. And even other media as well, such as Disney, Star Wars, and shows that were on streaming services (I got really into New Girl and Gilmore Girls over the course of the strike!). Standing in solidarity was the right thing to do, and if that meant not talking about my favorite shows and movies then of course I would do it. But I didn't realize how much of my coping skills fell into these fandoms until it was taken away for an indefinite amount of time.

And the indefiniteness of it all was definitely what got to me the most. I tried expanding my content (hence the Taylor Swift videos here and there) but it just didn't feel the same to me. I didn't get that spark that I used to get when I was dressed in cosplay and filmed my skits for you all. It made it really difficult for me to continue wanting to post videos. Because nothing felt right. I didn't feel as passionate about it. And that started to really get to me. Which is why my posting schedule went from a once-a-week blog and daily videos to maybe 1-2 videos a week and no blogs at all.

I had to basically find entirely new coping skills to help me get through this weird content break period. I tried sewing, as you all may have seen from my two whole sewing vlogs (and haven't picked up since LOL whoops. I better get back into that soon!). And tried starting to read again. But when mental health hits you, it sometimes hits hard. And I found myself in a really not-so-great place in my good ol' brain of mine.

I had no structure to my days anymore, which I think was a huge part of the reason I was not feeling well. But it also just made it tough in general to keep getting up in the morning. When every day felt the same and there was no end in sight to the strike. There was no one being like "Hey! You'll be able to post again by the time The Marvels rolls around!" or "Hey! Here's an exact date of when you can expect things to wrap up!". Which, of course, was probably the most frustrating for the actors and writers, as they wanted to get back to work! Every day they would show up, willing and ready to meet with the AMPTP to negotiate, and instead the AMPTP kept walking away from the table.

I started to find it really hard to get out of bed. If I even got up and got dressed for my day then I'd call it a win. And to be completely honest you guys, I think this was one of the worst mental health lows I've had. I felt like I lost my purpose. And I wasn't able to connect with all of you anymore, which is one of the things I love so very much about content creating. The community and the connection over a mutual love of something so special to all of us.

So that's why I disappeared in and out of posting for a bit. And that's okay, because I think that's basically what I needed to do to get through each day. Things are definitely looking a little better now. Right before the strike ended, I had been making more of an effort to reach out to some creator friends, been talking through some things with my therapist, and I've started regularly incorporating movement into my day which has definitely improved my mood. And now we're back to posting our regularly scheduled content again! Which definitely DEFINITELY helps.

And overall, I know standing with the actors was the right thing to do. I wouldn't change that for a second. But I did want to share with you all why things have been the way they have on my socials, and share my story from a content creator perspective. While this strike may not have been about influencers and content creators specifically, a lot of us were definitely involved as we stood united with the performing arts unions, and we were impacted by a lot of what was happening. I know I certainly was.

I would like to conclude this blog just by saying that for those of you who stuck around--thank you. You have no idea how much it means to me, that even though I wasn't posting what you followed me for and, heck, even though I fell off the face of the planet at times, you still were here, supporting me, sharing my shifted content style, and waiting it out with the actors, the rest of my fellow creators, and me. I love you all so so much. I truly am grateful for you. I'm excited to jump back into what I love, sharing what I love, and connecting with you all more now that the strikes have ended.

Thank you. For everything <3

Until the next blog...which will be more regularly again now ;),

My Experience at The Eras Tour!

5/22/2023

Picture
***ERAS TOUR SPOILERS BELOW***

This past Friday I was lucky enough to go to The Eras Tour with a group of my friends, and I wanted to talk to you all today about my experience with the tour and what it was like! I have been to every Taylor Swift tour since Speak Now, and I was very privileged in the fact that I was able to get tickets for this show. I don't know how the heck she did it, but my close friend was able to snag seats right before Ticketmaster crashed on sale day (she was like 200th in line for tickets--I really don't know how!! A Taylor Swift miracle for real hahah!).

My friends and I always have a tradition of hanging out at one of our houses before heading to the show and ordering pizza. We have done this every time there has been a Taylor concert, and we did it this year too! We also made some themed drinks (Lavender Haze!) and each of us picked an era to dress as. I chose Midnights, because I felt that this current album was definitely the one that I related to the most out of Taylor's albums. I had gone shopping for this dress like WEEKS before the show and ended up finding it at Windsor, and it was perfect. I thought it embraced lots of different elements of the Midnights Era, with the lavender haze vibes and the sparkle to it. The jacket was a last minute addition from Amazon that I bought like three days before the show because the weather forecast was predicting 40 degree weather that night! I'm definitely glad I bought it because it for sure got a little cold HAHAHA. But I think it also tied the outfit together so well!
Picture
My sister and I had also made friendship bracelets for everyone in our group based off of what Era we chose, and it was so fun getting to hand them out on show day! You're On Your Own, Kid is a song I so deeply relate to, and I loved being able to spread a little love through the lyrics of that one.

Gotta be honest, we were all a little worried about the traffic going in. We had heard that other concerts were SO bad with the traffic, and that people were waiting hours before even finding a spot. But somehow we got super lucky and it really only took us twenty minutes! Maybe because we left pretty late to get to the show? Unfortunately we ended up missing the openers (GAYLE and Phoebe Bridgers) but managed to catch a little bit of Phoebe while we were standing in line for the bathrooms. We got lucky with the bathrooms, too, honestly! The line looked like it was super long but ended up moving relatively fast, which we were grateful for.

By the time we were moving to get to our seats I was absolutely sobbing. Like, literal tears. I knew our section was close, but when I finally saw our view of the stage from where we were sitting it really hit me.
Picture
We were in section 128 in the 6th row, and honestly? It was an AMAZING view! We could see Taylor so clearly (except for a few moments in the show when she was behind a prop or in that tiny folklore house HAHAH) and I honestly think the first bowl of the stadium is the way to go. I feel like with the floor, if you're a short person like I am and get stuck sitting behind someone who is taller, you're going to be missing a lot of the show! This way gave us full view of the stage since we had raised seating and we were still close enough to see her without her being a tiny dot in our vision. I really truly am still amazed my friend was even able to snag these for us. I literally don't know how she did it.

So anyways, cue round one of tears from Jess (well, technically two. I started crying when we got through security as well HAHAH). They also handed out bracelets for everyone that synced during the show and it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL (also pro tip my sister heard on TikTok--keep the tab that comes with your bracelet so that after the concert you can insert it back into the bracelet and save the battery life for longer! Then whenever you want to use the bracelet again, you just pull the tab out and it will glow again!). Taylor has done this at past concerts as well and I was so happy to see she was still doing it.

Round three of tears was when Taylor came to the stage, I was CRYING so hard. I think what really got me was the "it's been a long time coming" intro. I was really not expecting her to start the show with Miss Americana and the Heartbreak Prince, and I thought it was such a perfect choice. It really enhanced so much of how we all felt, not having live music for so long!

The rest of the show was so amazing--I was so sad to see she only had one Speak Now song for the tour! But also the show was like 3 ½ hours long, so I understand she had to kind of cut down on what was in the set hahah! Our surprise songs the night I was there were Should've Said No and Better Man and I literally was SO excited when she announced them as our songs! They were SO good to hear live, especially Better Man! I have videos of my reactions to those coming in a Peter Parker Vlog soon ;)

Did I cry multiple times throughout the rest of the show? The answer is YES I did, but we don't have to talk about that HAHAHHA. It was so fun to experience the whole thing all together with the friends I've been seeing these shows with since I was 12. Absolutely amazing. Plus, I can also say this might be my favorite BeReal I've gotten so far this year!

When the show ended (Karma AS THE FINALE SONG? I STILL CANNOT GET OVER HOW HYPE I WAS FOR THAT) my friends and I ended up sitting and waiting for the crowds to clear out. We were going to have to sit in traffic anyways, so we might as well just enjoy sitting in the stadium for a little longer. Someone came up to us as they were leaving and handed us some friendship bracelets! It was so sweet. Each one had a different song (mine was You're Not Sorry) and truly it was the cutest.

Because we arrived late, and because we heard the merch truck lines were HOURS LONG, we didn't end up getting merch on the way in. But as we were walking out I noticed a merch booth with only like 7 people in line. I pointed it out to my friends, just as a suggestion that maybe we should take a look! You guys, I definitely recommend checking after the concert ends for merch if you want some and aren't picky about what exactly you want because we were in and out of that line in literally five minutes and we ALL got merch! I impulse bought the Eras Tour zip up and it is the cutest! My sister did hear though that for some people's merch the letters were peeling a bit, so be sure to iron over it before washing if you buy some, just in case! I put a little slideshow with what my zip up looks like below (it's a quarter zip with wording down the arms, and the tour logo on the back!

After getting merch we could still see the MASSIVE lines of people trying to cross the street to where we parked, so we ended up going to Crumbl for some cookies (we were also STARVING so this was a great option LOL). I had never had Crumbl before, and I was SO excited to try! I ended up getting the classic chocolate chip, and it was the best cookie ever. So soft and chewy at the same time, oh my god. The absolute best.

Even after all the time we killed doing other things, we still sat in traffic for THREE HOURS on the way back, and didn't get home until literally 3 in the morning. We were exhausted but happy all the same. The concert was so fun you guys. I will say, because Taylor had to fit so many songs into this one, there wasn't a lot of opportunity for her to make speeches this time, which I really missed! But it was still such a fun experience and an AMAZING show. I was so happy to hear so many great songs live (Cruel Summer and Karma book-ending the show was the icing on the cake for me, honestly. Two of my faves I was so hoping to hear live 🥹).

I'm so grateful to have been able to go to this show. Stay tuned for the Peter vlog coming tonight! I'm so pumped to share a little bit more of the show with you guys <3

My Top Five Favorite Non-MCU TV Series

5/1/2023

You all know how much I adore any and all things in the Marvel Universe. But this week, I wanted to share with you all and talk about some of my favorite non-Marvel related projects! Specifically TV shows. I never used to be a TV person. Especially if there were many seasons to catch up on, I would always get overwhelmed about having some much to binge! But over the past couple of years I have been slowly getting back into watching some shows. Here is a list of my absolute faves!

5. Parks and Recreation

Picture
Parks and Recreation is one of those shows that once I started watching, I couldn't stop! I was no longer scared of having so much to binge--I never wanted it to end! Every episode was so hilarious and I fell in love with all of the characters so quickly, especially with The Office style filming they had going on. I still regularly quote so many of the episodes even though I finished watching it a while ago. My personal favorite? When Andy sneezes and hits his head on the wall by accident, giving himself a concussion. Oh! Or when they rent the basketball court for Leslie's campaign, but forgot it was still a skating rink. And of course, the "Treat Yo-Self" episode. There are so many good ones. I'll have to have a rewatch soon just to see Lil' Sebastian again, hahah!

4. Only Murders in the Building

Picture
Okay, so Only Murders in the Building has been out for a couple of years now, but I didn't start watching it until a few weeks ago. Another one that I binged, this one in literally a week. It was SO good! The murder mystery aspect of the show makes it so interesting, especially the way they went about it with the three of them meeting because of listening to the same true crime podcast. I missed seeing Selena Gomez on screen, so it was so much fun to have her back for this series, and Steve Martin and Martin Short's characters are both so interesting. I love the concept of the entire story and how many twists and turns are in each episode. I'm so excited for Season 3!! Hopefully it'll be ready for this summer <3

3. Shrinking

Picture
For those of you who may not have heard of Shrinking before, it is a new show that came to Apple TV a month or so ago! The first season has dropped, and I am patiently awaiting the second season (which has already been confirmed!). The show stars Harrison Ford and Jason Segel, who are both therapists. Jason Segel's character recently lost his wife, and he is dealing with his own grief as he helps his clients in some pretty unique ways. Don't let my synopsis fool you though--this is a comedy show! Every episode is filled with so many reasons to laugh, and is so heartfelt as well. I cannot wait for the next season, it has quickly become one of my all-time favorites!

2. Ted Lasso

Picture
You already KNOW how much I adore this show! Ted Lasso has quickly become a favorite in my household. It is easily one of the highlights of my Wednesdays. I didn't expect to like this originally--a show about soccer (or, football, since it's in the UK)? I'm not a huge sports person, so I wasn't sure if I was gonna like this one. But oh my gosh you guys, by episode 3 I was HOOKED. The characters are so lovable and Ted is so funny. I love getting to watch them slowly work together to bond as a team, and I can't wait for another Ted Lasso episode this week!

1. The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

Picture
By far one of my favorite shows in the entire world is The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Absolutely EVERYTHING in this show makes it my favorite. The fashion, the music, the plot. The way the camera shots are. It's like watching a live stage play, but on your screen. And the jokes are so funny. Susie and Midge are hilarious, and I am so sad that this show is in its last season right now. Getting to watch Midge's rise to fame as a comedy star has been so wonderful. I think I'm due for a rewatch of the whole series after this season is finished being released.

Do you watch any of these shows? And if so, which one is your favorite? Leave a comment below, or DM me on Insta! I would love to hear your thoughts!

What to expect from me this april!

Hello my lovelies and happy April! I hope things have been good with all of you these past couple of days as we come into a new month of the year.

Today I wanted to talk about what to expect from me in the coming month in terms of my content! As always, I try to post a blog every Monday (which by the way, if there's anything you all want me to write about, feel free to leave a comment or shoot me a message!) and I'm cranking out more skits for you all as you read this! There's a lot of awesome stuff upcoming that I'm super pumped to share with all of you!

First up, the biggest thing, I will be attending Wicked Con in Boston this April! I know as of right now I will for certain be there on the 22nd, and tentatively the 23rd as well. I'm so excited to head into another Con and to be able to connect with you all. If you happen to be going to Wicked Con and cross paths with me, please stop me and say hello! One of my absolute favorite parts of going to conventions is being able to interact with all of you off-screen, and I can't wait for that again!

This is also coming up upon what I like to call Busy-Jess-Season, because I have a lot of awesome little things happening within the next few months that I get to look forward to! Even if it's just hanging out with family and friends in some capacity, I'm super excited to have some cool events to work towards as the weather starts to warm up and events start to happen again.

In terms of watch parties, we are almost at the end of our Daredevil Watch Parties! We will be watching the last two episodes on April 14th (a Friday this time!) and I can't believe we're almost done! Thank you to all of you who have come along for the ride as I watched this for the very first time <3

I've been busying myself with my work, and also working through some mental health roadblocks (this is your reminder to TAKE BREAKS. I took a much needed three-day break this weekend, hence the lack of content, and it already made me feel SO much better!). Yet another reason I'm looking forward to that warm weather again! I want to spend so much time outside!

That's all for me right now! Lots of little things coming as they happen, and I am so excited to chat and interact with you all as the month continues! Have an awesome Monday, and I'm sending you all lots of virtual hugs!

-FPP <3

P.S. UM that Secret Invasions trailer yesterday?! I'M STOKED! Maybe a future blog post breaking that one down soon? ;)
