Happy Wednesday, my friends! Despite the chaos of the world, I hope that things have been well with all of you and you are enjoying these beginning days of summer. There is so much to look forward to in the coming months in terms of fandom projects! We’ve got Iron Heart, Elio, Superman, Fantastic Four, the new Jurassic World movie, and the live action How To Train Your Dragon project that just came out this past Friday! I still have to get to the theater to see it, but I’ve heard great things about it so far and am really excited to see what they’ve done with it.

Things on my end have been super chaotic, but going well! Summer always tends to be busy season for content creation (probably because there are so many new things coming out and lots of fun activities to do!) so I’ve been trying to juggle my day-to-day life tasks with some up and coming fun things I have planned—like VidCon!

I am going to be attending VidCon this week and will be in the Anaheim area, so if you happen to see me, feel free to stop me and say hi! One of my absolute favorite things about content creation is being able to connect with all of you and talk about our favorite fandom things together. It’s one of the coolest things we have with the internet—I love how my community is just one big family of fandom-loving friends!

This is quite a short blog post compared to my last few, but that’s basically all I got for you guys today! Just over here working on some content this afternoon, and really trying to take in the sunshine now that it’s here. Also by the way, if you’ve been reading these blogs, I love you love you love you bunches! I know there is SO much content to consume on a daily basis, and the fact that some of you chose to take time out of your day to read these is not lost on me. You guys are the best! <3 Also, if you’re a frequent blog reader, react in my broadcast channel to this week’s blog link with a 🐳 emoji. “Yes whale!!” (If you know, you know 😌).

Until next week’s blog! xoxo <3

Happy Friday, my loves! Getting this week’s blog post to you a little later than I had hoped because it has been one hell of a week. But hey. Better late than never, right? 🥰

I wanted to talk this time around about the newest episodes of Phineas and Ferb that just released on Disney+! I have absolutely loved what they have done with this new season, and I am SO glad that the show is back! I have so many wonderful memories associated with the show and the characters, and it’s been so great to kick off the start of the summer with a little hit of Disney nostalgia 🤭

Watching the first episode felt like watching one of the Phineas and Ferb movies that they had created. I loved the storyline of their Mom turning into a giant cloud for their VERY FIRST day of summer vacation, but I will say that was one of the only things that felt slightly off about the new episodes. To me, it felt like a very bold jump back into the show after a period of not having Phineas and Ferb content for a while. After that, the episodes kind of got back into classic Phineas and Ferb territory with the storylines and the songs, which I loved. But overall, I did enjoy the first episode in its entirety! And Doof calling Major Monogram to get ideas for his evil schemes was absolutely cracking me up the whole time 😂

I am so glad that for the most part, they got the whole main cast back! I am so impressed with how many new things they are still able to think up for Phineas and Ferb to build. And I absolutely love how we are still getting the classic Doofenshmirtz lines. Doof and Perry’s interactions in the show are honestly some of my absolute favorites, so any scenes with the two of them I am so grateful for. And I absolutely love how they are adding some more character development and storylines for the characters! Ferb talks a lot more now, and I loved the episode with Candace getting her driver’s license directly tying back to the episode of her learning how to parallel park. Honestly, I feel this new season has done a great job of making little references here and there to those past favorite parts of Phineas and Ferb (like the “If I had a nickel” joke being brought up TWICE) and still coming up with new and fresh ideas for storylines.

The Tropey McTropeface song being sung by Michael Bublé was NOT on my Phineas and Ferb Season 5 Bingo card at ALL, but I am so glad we got to witness that masterpiece 😂 Honestly, one of the things I’m most excited about is for them to add all these songs to a Spotify album for us! License to Bust WILL be on repeat in my house when it’s made available to listen all the time 😤 The music, as always, have been banger after banger. And I also was in stitches at Doof as the plants screaming “I’m a plant, I’m a plant!” over and over again. The other thing I have found quite interesting with this season so far is that they have really expanded from the common locations of the show! We still see the backyard, and 🎶Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated 🎶 but the kids and Doof have been doing a lot more exploring outside of their normal spots. Like the vet, bouncing around the Tri-State Area, and even a water park at one point!

Overall, I am absolutely loving the new episodes they have created. I love that it still feels the same as watching the show when I used to watch the episodes with my siblings together over the summer, and I am so so happy Disney decided to let Phineas and Ferb have a comeback, and that so many of the original cast and crew were on board! I can’t wait to see what the rest of the episodes have in store for us (and I sure do hope they renew them for even more episodes after those ones! I can’t get enough Phineas and Ferb 🤭).

What do you all think so far of the new Phineas and Ferb episodes? Do you have a favorite one? Personally, I think mine was either the Vet episode (Episode 5) or the Chronicles of Meap episode (Episode 9) where they took all the clips from that fake trailer that they made back in the day, hahah!

Sending you all love and light for this upcoming weekend <3

Until next week’s blog!

Let's Get Real: A Life Update Blog Post

6/4/2025

Picture
Gooooood morning @missjessparker family! I’m currently reporting to you LIVE from a coffee shop here in Los Angeles as I write out my little post for you all! I know that there is a lot of new pop culture content coming out today (the new Fantastic Four trailer dropped this morning, a new Wicked trailer is expected to release), but we all know how I feel about trailers—after the first teaser, it is NOT for me (though, I will be watching the Wicked trailer today 👀 I count that as a teaser). So unfortunately, I can’t give much of my opinion on that because I am avoiding spoilers at all costs—though, I already saw a handful for Fantastic Four (☹️). But then, I guess, that leaves the big question—what is today’s blog post about?

Honestly? I have no real topic I want to write on today. I think I just kind of want to chat real thoughts with you all on this one. A little life update, a little talk about mental health, and all of the above. We are living in a really dark time in the world right now, and I don’t know about you guys, but it has really been getting to me lately. Heck, usually I spend my time writing these blog posts in my little Tangled corner of my room and enjoy my quiet time in my own space. But I was quite literally so stuck in my own head today that I HAD to get out of the house. And so here I am, with the whirring sounds of an espresso machine, a caramel iced latte to my right, and an escapism from my thoughts as I kind of journal my brain out to you all on this lovely Wednesday morning.

Thunderbolts* has really got me diving deep lately into my thoughts on my own void. I want to start being more transparent with you all about my life behind the screen, behind my skits and the content you see on my page. Life online can be so curated sometimes, and I like that I have created a little blog space to be able to be more open with you all. My depression and anxiety have been kicking my ass lately, and sometimes it can be really hard to get out of that space. Like, I know what I need to do to make myself feel better, but it can be so hard to implement that. But we’re taking it day by day, one little bit at a time. The fact that I even went to work somewhere other than my room today is a HUGE win on my part, I think.

So why am I telling you all this? Because I hope that somewhere, someone out there can read this and know they aren’t alone. That you can know that feeling anxious and depressed isn’t a thing to be ashamed of. It can be so hard to go through that stuff by yourself. I’m someone who really struggles to ask for help, and that’s something I’m slowly getting better at. But for a long period of my life, I would just push everything away and tell everyone I was fine. And I honestly think that how I’m feeling currently is my body and mind’s way of trying to release all my past pushed down emotions as I work through things that happened to me in the past and work on bettering myself now.

I’m about to get a little woo-woo on you guys for a second, but I’ve really been leaning into the concepts of receiving signs from the universe, and I had such a huge *gasp* moment yesterday morning that I cannot help but share with you all. Admittedly, my mornings recently have started with a ton of anxiety and a lot of sad energy. I usually can get back to feeling semi-normal after starting my routine and doing my little morning wellness activities, like yoga or journaling, but I’m still trying to figure out why this is happening. I hate nothing more than immediately starting my day with a jolt of anxiety and bad adrenaline rushing through my body. But unfortunately, that was the way my morning yesterday started out.

I’ve been really trying to combat these feelings recently with grounding myself in some activities that I know bring me joy. I realized this past week how I’ve been slacking on connecting with all of you, my community, and I have been really trying to implement that back into my content creation, because that is one of the things I love most about it! Answering DMs and comments, going live more often, etc. So yesterday I decided I wanted to go live after starting my day. But before that, I had to work on feeling a little better. So I dragged myself over to the kitchen, made myself a little avocado toast to eat, and opened TikTok for a little morning scroll.

Guys. When I tell you the universe is SCREAMING at me that big changes are coming, I am not kidding. I got 5-8 videos in a row on my TikTok For You Page right when I opened the app, with no hashtags, with tarot readings, motivational talks, and positive energy telling me that June is going to be my month, that good things are coming my way, and that I am at a pivotal shift (another reason why I may be feeling so wonky lately—a lot of times right before a big change, your energy can get a little low like mine has been!). I could not believe how many of these I got in a row. Usually I get 1 or 2 here and there, but the universe REALLY wanted me to hear this message apparently. And then I went live on Instagram, and as I was putting my makeup on, getting ready, I looked out my window and saw a yellow butterfly fly by. I’ve been seeing butterflies a lot lately, but most of them have been monarchs (which is also a sign of change) but the fact that this one was SO distinctly yellow (a sign of positivity, hope and transformation) had me stopping in my tracks. Universe, I hear you. This rough patch will be ending soon. I just have to claim it ✨

Mindset shift has been a big thing I’ve been working on, and little things like this have been helping me through it a lot. I don’t know about you guys, but I subconsciously have a lot of negative self talk that I’m trying to work through. It can be so hard sometimes, trying to rewire your brain. I feel like I didn’t realize how often I subconsciously say such mean things to myself until I started taking time to recognize it. It happens way more than I think.

Anyway, my little woo-woo universe rant aside, I hope you all know that you aren’t alone if you’re going through some tough mental health times. It’s more universally felt than most people let on, and everyone you know is probably fighting at least one inner demon, one inner void. Whatever it is you may be going through, I am sending you love and light and positivity that things may get better soon. May this be your sign that June will be your big month of change, too 💕 If you’ve read this far, thank you for taking time out of your day to read my little blogs. It’s been really nice to connect back with this part of content lately, and I hope you all have been enjoying my little journaly check ins and thoughts on current media :)

More to come. I love you guys!

My Go-To Travel Essentials

5/28/2025

Picture
Happy Wednesday, my friends! Since becoming a content creator (and moving across the country from my family) I have started to travel a lot more than I used to. With each trip, I feel that I have found the list of essentials that work perfect for me and my travel days. So here’s my list of things that I simply cannot travel without!

1. Noise Cancelling Headphones

Picture
Between the sound of whatever transit I am on, the noises from other people around me (someone eating, babies crying, people chatting, etc) and also just trying to be able to hear whatever I am watching or listening to, noise-cancelling headphones have become an absolute MUST for me. I love that they let me just zone out, sleep, and relax during the extent of my travel time.

2. Snacks

Picture
Especially as someone who has food allergies, sometimes finding things to eat on travel days can be really tricky for me. And a big lesson that I’ve started to learn over the years is ALWAYS have some sort of meal-replacement food for traveling (especially if you have an air travel day with short layovers in between—you might not have time to find lunch or dinner!). My go-tos are meal/protein bars and Belvita Breakfast Cookies. They are filling, small enough to pack, and have been LIFE savers for me in the past

3. Mini Perfume

Picture
I always have a little mini TSA approved perfume bottle with me. Sometimes just smelling nice can help you feel a little less-gross when you have no time to freshen up after being on public transit. Plus it’s great to have for the duration of your trips!

4. A Good Book

Picture
Sometimes I struggle to find time to actually sit and read something that I want to read during my day-to-day. Having an allotted amount of time being stuck somewhere with nothing to do finally gives me the chance to catch up on the books I’ve been putting off! I just started reading Pride and Prejudice this week (courtesy of and #gifted by the Pride and Prejudice ball that Shay and I went to this past Thursday 🤭). I’ll also sometimes read comics on my phone or iPad.

5. Zinc and Vitamin D

Picture
I’m telling you guys, these things are the BEST. I am kind of a germaphobe, and very often have hand sanitizer with me wherever I go. But especially when traveling, I feel like I am more prone to being exposed to sick people (that’s unfortunately just the nature of traveling). So I always pack myself a little bit of immune booster supplements for my trip! It just gives my body a little bit of an extra fighting chance against the germs, especially when you’re running on little-to-no sleep and dehydration.

6. A Sweatshirt

Picture
Sometimes I’ll be traveling and they will be BLASTING the air conditioning! I always make sure I have some form of a sweatshirt with me for that reason (there’s been too many times in the past where I’ve been shivering away until I reach my destination). Plus, if you don’t end up needing to wear it, you can always bunch it up and use it as a pillow 😌

7. A Portable Phone Charger

Picture
No explanation needed on this one. If I’m using my phone for music, to watch movies, or anything else, I’m going to want a charger with me. And sometimes the usb ports that are offered at your seat don’t always work! Better to have my own than rely on something that may or may not leave me with no power.

What are some of your travel essentials or hacks? I love to see what everyone else is packing, too! :)

Happy travels friends!

My Thoughts On Thunderbolts*

5/21/2025

Picture
Well helloooooo internet friends!! As promised, I am back to my weekly blogging! Honestly, it’s kinda fun to just thought dump everything out onto a page for you all, and I’ve missed doing this! I know I just posted a video with my thoughts on Thunderbolts* the other day, but I figured I’d write out a little written post as well. Sometimes it’s easier to formulate your thoughts into an almost-essay outline style blog post than my sporadic brain dump while I do my makeup on a Monday morning with no coffee in my system 😂 So let’s get into it!

The film opens on Yelena jumping from the second tallest building in the world (I still cannot believe that Florence Pugh literally FOUGHT to do that stunt herself! I would have thrown up 🤢). I love how the start of the film immediately set the tone for what we were going to expect for the rest of the movie, while also still keeping Yelena’s sassy charm and sarcasm. It really jumped us right back into the heart of the MCU, and I absolutely adored that! Plus Yelena’s little guinea pig friend? I love it. I need one shots of her with her new pet. But it also had me wondering where Yelena’s dog, Fanny, is in this film! We saw her with Fanny at the end of Black Widow, and then Fanny was never mentioned again. It leads me to believe that maybe the dog was never hers, a foster, or it has passed away 😕 either way, I wanted more Fanny HAHAH.

I am so glad that this movie gave us the opportunity to see Alexei again! I loved seeing Yelena drop in to chat with him—though it made me sad they hadn’t talked in a year. And it’s only touched upon briefly, but even Alexei is clearly going through some of his own mental health issues. Which I think ties right into the overlying theme of the movie—that we all have our own voids, our own mental health problems, but uplifting and supporting one another is one way we can crawl out of that space. The continuous bit of the Red Guardian Limo Service was incredible, and I loved how special Alexei’s company meant to him.

Then we get to the big vault fight scene. Honestly, what a wild way to get rid of all of your HUMAN ASSETS, VALENTINA. How she didn’t think that would backfire on her is beyond me, hahaha 😂 But it was fun to kind of watch them all realize they had all been set up, and immediately try to work together to get out of there. This part of the movie included the one part of the film that kind of upset me—and that is because of Taskmaster. I was so so excited to have Taskmaster back in the films, she was such a cool character in Black Widow, and even would have tied right into the plot because of her own past! I was so bummed that they killed her off so quickly. I saw a post the other day that said the original plan was to have her wake up, have memory loss, and then try to kill Walker throughout the course of the rest of the film. And honestly, I think I would have preferred that to her just dying! But alas, we must add Taskmaster to the Spider-Man: Far From Home in remembrance video 😪

The whole time I was watching the group of them crawl up the elevator shaft, it kept cracking me up because it reminded me of that one scene in The Emperor’s New Groove where Pacha and Kuzco are crawling up the side of the mountain in a very similar fashion. Of course, John Walker continues to piss me off, and almost kills them all 🙄 but at least they made it out alive! And then we catch our first glimpse of the void—a memory with Yelena outside the Red Room. It was so interesting to learn more about Yelena’s past in this film, and honestly I am so glad that they dove into that more! Obviously we know a little bit about the Red Room from Black Widow, and what we’ve heard from Natasha talking about her past, but not any specifics for Yelena, which was interesting to see. As someone who writes fanfics and one shots for myself on the side, I was taking notes ✍🏻✍🏻✍🏻.

I said this a little in my GRWM video at the start of the week, but after watching the first teaser trailer I try really hard not to watch many promos for upcoming Marvel films because I feel it kind of gives too much away. So imagine my surprise when Bob turns out to be A SUPER HERO?! I was expecting Bob to be kind of the fun side character for comedic relief, and instead he turned into a character with a deep back story that becomes a huge center point of the film. Honestly, it was super cool to see, and not knowing that fact going in made the movie all the more enjoyable for me to watch! When he first gets up from being shot at, flies up, and we get a glimpse of his power set—that scene was so incredible! Until Valentina came back and tried to corrupt him, anyway 😪

Alexei running through the desert screaming at Yelena not to go into the vault and coming to pick her up was the absolute cutest thing and also so funny 😭 When I first saw the movie, the theater was laughing so hard that I couldn’t even hear what he said! It wasn’t until a second watch with my family that I heard the full dialogue, and it had me cracking up all over again 😂. David Harbor is such a gem, I hope they continue bringing Alexei’s character back more and more in the future. And then Bucky…oh Bucky. Our boy returns, and WHAT AN ENTRANCE. Also, Bucky’s new theme has me 🥹. I love reading all the fan theories and realizations after the film, and one of the biggest ones that people pointed out was that Bucky’s hero theme also includes drums in the back that mirror his time in Wakanda. Honestly, the whole movie soundtrack has me weeping. It was so well composed.

Also how hilarious is it thinking about Bucky individually tying each of the Thunderbolts up, especially John after everything they went through together 😭 He’s so real for that, and I love how he’s just tired dad mode and doesn’t trust them right away. It isn’t until he gets the call from Mel that he’s like “Oh. Bob. Okay.” HAHAHA. God, I missed Bucky on the big screen! And then his little friendship with Alexei in the front of the truck and the two of them bonding over which super serum they got is hilarious. Between that and the What If…? Episode with the two of them, I literally could watch a whole buddy cop film with Bucky and Alexei. They crack me up. And then in classic Bucky fashion, just smashing through the front windows of what used to be Avengers Tower 😭 I just know Tony Stark somewhere is rolling in his grave, screaming “yet ANOTHER reason why I don’t like Barnes.”

That first fight that they all had with Bob, I truly did not know where they were planning to take the film after that point. Like woah—he is SOOOO overpowering compared to the rest of them. Honestly, to take him out completely, I felt they were gonna need someone like Doctor Strange or Captain Marvel to level the playing field. And boy, was I worried for a hot second. But Bob deep down I think still kinda saw them as his new friends, and I’m glad he didn’t eliminate them when Valentina wanted him to. (Also Bob, I’m so sorry, the beach blond was NOT a good look, I am so glad his hair is back to that darker blond shade now 😭). And then they had the kill switch and he just died for a second and I was out here thinking to myself—welp, clearly something bad is gonna happen next. AND THEN HIS WHOLE BODY TURNED BLACK?! When I tell you I was STRESSINGGGGGG. And even more so when people started almost blipping again. When their shadows were just left on the pavement, my jaw was on the floor.

The concept of The Void also had me thinking about all the other MCU characters currently in New York, too. Like, what was Peter Parker experiencing during all of this? What about Kingpin and Daredevil? Especially after the events of Daredevil: Born Again (which, if anyone knows where that falls in relation to the timeline of this movie, please let me know! I still am unclear on whether that comes before or after this movie, especially with the time jump in the end credits scene of Thunderbolts* 😅). But anyway, when Alexei saves that little girl and she immediately is taken by The Void, I feel like it is such a “huge gasp” moment in the theater, but the memes that came out of that scene where HYSTERICAL. You guys are absolutely killing me over on Marvel Threads 😭

We get to see more of Yelena’s void, and it ties right in to her speech with Alexei about how she goes home “to no one” and then drinks and scrolls on her phone, etc etc. That scene between the two of them really hit me hard, because I also have been feeling phases of loneliness lately. I’ve been missing my family a lot, and am still expanding my friendships since moving to Los Angeles, so hearing some of my own thoughts and experiences spoken back at me through Yelena was both validating and also encouraging. Even the heroes we look up to have their mental health struggles. After seeing this movie, everyday when I’m having a bad moment I remind myself that even though Yelena had bad stuff happening to her, she still got up and did what she had to do. She pushed through. And sometimes that’s enough for me to fight my own void throughout the day.

Seeing more of the Yelena scenes from the Red Room, and even current scenes from her past, were so interesting (me taking notes in the theater again ✍🏻✍🏻✍🏻) and how she had to break through all of the rooms to get to where Bob was. And then there’s Bob, sitting on the floor of an attic bedroom, wearing the clothes that he’s wearing in one of his worst Void rooms, and we’re finally starting to understand how the team will be able to defeat Sentry. I, too, would be able to solve all my problems if Yelena sat down with me on the floor and chatted with me about my mental health 😌 but in all seriousness, I think this scene is so important because not only does she validate how Bob is feeling, but she also recognizes her own void in herself as well. Bucky’s comment about “having a great past” cracked me up, and I loved how they touched upon throughout the movie how Bucky has healed and moved on from a lot, even so enough in this scene to make a joke about breaking through his Void rooms, which I’m sure were very traumatic for him.

Then we’re cutting through all of Bob’s void rooms, as a team, until they get to the room in Malaysia where Bob was first volunteering for the procedure that made him Sentry. This scene, like the scene with Yelena and Alexei chatting outside on the sidewalk, also was super validating for me as someone who has been struggling with depression and anxiety over the past handful of years. To have a visual of what it feels like to be constantly trying to fight The Void. To know that you want it gone, but it continues to sit there and mock you even when you’re beating it down. And how sometimes, the only way to get out of that, is with love and support from family and friends. That’s something that I’ve really been struggling with and working on this past year. I’ve always had a hard time reaching out to people for help, because of a lot of different reasons. And these past few months I have been a little better about asking for help from people when I need it. But this movie was a huge reminder of that for me, and something that I can hold on to when I need a little push to get that help in the future.

When they announced the team as The New Avengers, it really didn’t click in my head right away that that was the point of the asterisk! I remember thinking, “Oh, cool! Yeah, they are the new team of Avengers now!”. It wasn’t until they flashed The New Avengers logo up on the screen that I fully realized it was the second title of the film! I feel like this opens up such a fun and exciting new future for our Thunderbolts besties, and I cannot wait to see how this all plays out in the future of the MCU. Especially with that end credits scene, and with Bucky talking about how Sam is filing for copyright of The Avengers 👀. Also, can we talk about how this post credit scene is the first time in FOREVER that we have an MCU film leading directly into the next MCU film?! It’s been so long! Usually, past end credits scenes have been prepping for something far in the future, or hinting that something might happen later down the road (like Doctor Strange, the end of Agatha All Along, the end of The Marvels, etc). But this time, we know it’s leading right into The Fantastic Four! Personally, I cannot wait to see how this all ties together in July. But until then, we have Iron Heart dropping in June! And I cannot WAIT to get some more Iron Suit action! 😎

This movie is for sure going to become a staple comfort movie for me when it drops on Disney+. I can’t wait to be able to watch it all the time. I felt it did a great job of keeping that MCU charm, while still dealing with a heavy topic. They had a great balance of both. And it was a message that I really really needed to hear right about now.

What did all of you think of the film? Did you love it? Did you hate it? I have been loving hearing everyone’s thoughts on the movie, and seeing all the memes that have come out of it so far.

Until next time!

P.S. Bucky’s hair in the post credit scene? I hope it looks like that ALLLL throughout Doomsday 😍 he was SLAYING.

Blogs Are Back!

I know, I know, I know. Before you even say it, let me just say it first. I know it's been ALMOST A LITERAL YEAR since I wrote a blog (the last one I wrote was in July of last year 😭) and I am sooo sorry for that, guys. I have been off my game lately! But today I had a little spark of inspiration and thought, you know what? I'm gonna bring the blogs back, because I miss them! And I miss you guys <3

So first of all, hi, hello! Welcome back to my website. It's had a little revamp now, and I'm so excited to be back to chatting with you all again. A lot has happened since I last did my little chatty vibes here, and I figured I'd give you guys a little rundown!

For starters, Ferris Bueller wasn't kidding when he said that life moves pretty fast. I just turned 26 two weeks ago this Friday, and now it's already the middle of May? Where is the time going?! This year is absolutely zipping by.

Well, let's see....in terms of updates, the rest of 2024 consisted of some fun premieres (Agatha All Along!), working on building my other platforms like YouTube and Instagram, starting to post on Snapchat, and my roommate and I threw a very fun, very successful, Spider-Man Christmas Party! I headed home for the holidays, and then at the start of this year I flew to Chicago for a little visit with a friend. Then came back to LA and started working on some more content, and have gone to some fun events lately (pst pstttt Thunderbolts* premiere 👀). And my family just came to visit this past week, which was so lovely!

One thing I haven't really been talking about publicly is my struggle currently with my mental and physical health. It's kind of been an uphill battle since January, and I have been fighting off some sad depression vibes (missing my family and having a difficult time kind of figuring some things out in my life recently). And I also have been going to a BUNCH of doctors over the past few months, both from a standpoint of trying to figure out some symptoms I've had, and also because 26 is the big year when you get kicked off your parents health insurance 🙃 so I was trying to get some appointments done before my insurance changed and I had to find all new doctors in an all new system. It turned out that everything is okay, but I ended up getting a PCOS diagnosis, which honestly explained a lot of the symptoms that I was having. So in that sense, it was good! But for a while I was literally going to a doctors appointment or test like once or twice a week, and it honestly just took so much out of me.

But we've made it past that bump in the road, and I am feeling a lot better! I still occasionally am dealing with some mental health issues here and there, but I have found that journaling and engaging in some creative activities (crochet, coloring, journaling, painting, scrapbooking etc) has really helped me kind of get out of these weird little slumps I find myself in. And obviously, the state of the world right now has certainly been making it a little hard to stay positive, but we do what we can 🥴

All this to say, I am really grateful for all of you that have stuck around through the different eras of ME! I know a lot has changed recently with my username, my content, how frequently I have been posting, etc, and I am really grateful for all of you that have continued to stick by through all of that. Let's Talk Deadpool and Wolverine!

Just as I’m sure many of you also did, this past weekend I went to the theatre to go watch Deadpool and Wolverine! So let’s chat about the movie, shall we? :)

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR DEADPOOL AND WOLVERINE are below! If you haven’t seen the movie, and don’t want MAJOR things spoiled, do not continue to read!

So for starters here, I am definitely more of an Avengers fan rather than an X-Men fan. I know enough about the X-Men to get me by in terms of talking about them and their stories, but am still learning a lot about the characters and their history. I have seen some of the X-Men movies, but not all of them. I, of course, know the more popular ones (such as Wolverine, Jean Gray, Charles Xavier, etc). And I had watched both of the Deadpool movies many times before I went in to this film, so Deadpool and Wolverine was certainly a movie I was looking forward to, because I love how funny Deadpool is and couldn’t wait to see how this would transition him into the MCU.

Honestly, as an overall review here, I kind of think the third one is the best of the trilogy! It is a wonderful way to honor the FOX X-Men movies and acknowledging their existence in the multiverse before the MCU moves forward with their own version of the X-Men. And I felt like the jokes in this one were absolutely hilarious. A perfectly fantastic way of transitioning Deadpool over to the MCU. I’m really curious to see if he’ll make any more cameos or appearances in the future Marvel movies (especially with the recent announcements at SDCC of the next two Avengers movies!).

In terms of the plot, I felt the movie was a bit sporadic at times with sticking to the storyline. There was A LOT of time spent in the void, and sometimes they would take a good like 20 minutes to just cut to a random fight scene between Wade and Logan more than once (though, they were super fun!). I think maybe one or two less of those might have helped make the movie continue to feel more on beat with the continuing plot. I was expecting, honestly, to see a lot more connection to the TVA and the MCU as a whole, but we only got maybe one or two scenes of those. But honestly? I think it helped keep this movie as its own little capsule of a film.

The concept of having an “anchor” being in each reality was SO interesting, and I actually wish they went a little more into that plot! Who is the anchor being of 616? Why does losing an anchor being make a timeline die? It’s also so interesting to see that the TVA had NO idea that Mr. Paradox was pruning timelines like that! Don’t they monitor them all? Don’t they see that that is happening? But, I suppose, there would be no plot for the movie if the TVA DID know, so it’s probably for the best that they didn’t ;)

But alright, we’ve waited long enough. Let’s chat CAMEOS!!!

Starting off strong with Happy Hogan—I was holding my breath the ENTIRE time, waiting to see an Avenger cameo in this scene. I was half expecting Pepper, or even Tony, to come down and talk to him. It was also so fun and interesting that Wade jumped to our timeline to chat with the Avengers. But honestly? A little confusing, especially for people who may not understand that Deadpool is *technically* from a different timeline. Besides the quick little text on screen, it kind of seemed like Deadpool was from 616 and not from his own timeline. It was so fun to see Happy, and I SCREAMED when he came on screen! But for this one in particular, I think it could have used just that *little* bit more of an explanation for viewers who may be confused.

Jumping over to my absolute FAVORITE cameo of the movie—Johnny Storm! I literally could not have asked for a better set up for his character to appear. They set it up SO well! I love how they teased us into thinking it was Cap before he revealed that it was actually Johnny all along. Everyone in my theater absolutely LOST it over this one. What a fantastic cameo. I was so glad that one didn’t get spoiled for me. And the little after credits scene with Deadpool showing that he actually “didn’t get Johnny killed” was hilarious 😂 I have not stopped thinking about it since I saw the film. Absolutely nuts.

And, of course, I cannot write this article without talking about Elektra, Blade, Gambit and X-23. What an absolutely INSANE cameo group, guys. Admittedly, I did not really watch the movies that these characters were in, though I had heard about them! So it took me an extra second or two to realize who everyone was when they first appeared on screen. But what an AWESOME way to honor and celebrate the past films! I also loved how they had X-23 and Logan chatting with one another, and that Minions comment that Deadpool made to Gambit was absolutely hilarious 😭 Such a fun little crew they had going for the movie!

And lastly, let’s chat Dogpool AKA Mary Puppins. What an absolute sweetie, I adored her! I loved how much Deadpool adored the dog, and the scene with Logan holding on to her while all the Deadpools just stood there was so funny 😂

Honestly, there is so much more that I want to talk about from this movie, that I think I’ll probably make a YouTube video chatting about it this week! It was so fun, a solid 8.5/10 in my book in terms of Marvel films. I’m so excited to see what is in store for Deadpool in the future of the MCU, and am already planning to head back to the theater to watch this one again soon :)

Until next time!

P.S. Bye Bye Bye and Like a Prayer have been the only two songs I’ve been listening to on REPEAT this week 😂 That opening credits scene was AWESOME.

Let's Talk Agatha All Along

Okay, long overdue to chat about this one! As many of you know, I DESPISE watching trailers. I feel like they give wayyyy too much away, and I hate that I basically know the entire movie or show before it’s even released! Though, I do make one exception to watch the very first trailer, because I feel for the most part those are usually teasers, and don’t give as much away as the other ones. Though, they still do give away a lot!

So, of course, when the Agatha trailer came out this week, I was ALL over it. I adored WandaVision, and I thought Agatha was such an intricate and fun character in the show. I’m so excited that she has her own storyline now!

But let’s chat theories and characters for a second. So obviously, we can’t ignore the elephant in the room about Wanda. I think we’ll definitely see some form of a scene with Agatha reviving her at some point. There’s no way they’re going to leave Wanda dead, she is, like, one of the most popular characters in the MCU! Even if that’s how the show ends, and we get a final scene with Wanda opening her eyes or something, I feel like it may be bound to happen.

I am also SO stoked to see Aubrey Plaza in this show! I have loved her ever since I binge watched Parks and Recreation back in college, and I am so stoked to see her interpretation of an MCU witch. Plus, she is absolutely hilarious. Her and Kathryn Hahn together are going to make an incredible team.

In terms of the vibe of the show, I am a little worried, because it seems to be leaning a lot in the horror direction, and let me tell you, I am NOT a horror fan. If they stick to jump scares, I may be able to handle it. But if there’s a lot of blood and gore in the show? Oof. Jess may have a problem. I will only be watching the episodes in broad daylight in the middle of the day if that’s the case, hahah!

What are some of your theories for the show? I’m so excited to see what’s in store for Agatha this Halloween season!

July Life Update!

Hello everyone, and happy July! I feel like I started writing these blogs again, only to disappear for a month, but it’s because I had a lot happening the past few weeks that I wasn’t able to post my usual content!

I flew home at the beginning of June to celebrate some family events that I didn’t want to miss, but ended up staying for most of the month because in the middle/end of June, my family and I had a family vacation planned to Greece!

This was my first OFFICIAL official time exploring outside of the US. Technically I had been out of the country twice. The first was to see Niagara Falls on the Canadian side, but it was mostly a quick little trip and we just barely crossed the border, so I didn’t count that one much. The second was a couple of years ago when I was invited to Disneyland Paris! Though, that time, I basically left the airport, when straight to the parks for a few days, and then flew back home, so I didn’t explore much of Europe then either. So this trip was a big deal, because we truly were seeing the sights!

We took an 11 Day Cruise with Celebrity Cruiselines, and it was such a dream. We stopped in Sorrento, Italy before making our way through the Greek Isles, to Santorini, Athens, Mykonos and Rhodes (and also stops in Kusadasi, Turkey and Valleta, Malta as well!). My Greek Mythology loving heart was in absolute awe of everything they had to offer in terms of history. It was such a fun time!

I’m working on editing up a vlog of the trip that I had filmed during our time there, and it will be posted at the end of the week if all things go according to plan! But now, I am in back in California, working on new content for you all and excited to enjoy the rest of the summer! I can’t wait to see what the rest of this year has in store. I can’t believe we’re already halfway through 2024!

I hope you all are staying cool in the heat, and having a fun summer! Sending my love to you all, and I’ll see you in the next blog!

Life Lately

As I am sure you are all aware by now, I have recently moved from Massachusetts to California! This past month has been an absolute whirlwind, and it went by SOOOO fast. I can't believe that Saturday of this week is June 1st! So I figured I'd do a little recap of the month, just as a little diary entry for myself, but also to share with all of you!

April 22nd, I flew from Boston to LAX, and moved into my new place with Shay! That first week was definitely interesting, and was basically a lot of setting up and getting things organized. Lots of Target and IKEA runs, and basically just trying to get ourselves organized!

And honestly? That first week and a half truly went by pretty quick! Before I knew it, my birthday rolled around! I really wanted to make sure I did something fun, especially while being in the midst of moving to a new space. So my friends and I all went to Disneyland together for my birthday! (I took a little vlog of the day, and it'll be up and posted by this Friday morning LA time 🥰). Then we had a break day, and then that Saturday we went to Renfaire! It was my first time ever experiencing a renaissance faire, and it was SO much fun! I'll definitely be planning to go back next year!

That Monday is when I met up with my lovely friend Lauren (who you may all know as Lauren of Westview on Instagram, or Little Miss Scarlet Witch on TikTok!) which was SUPER exciting for us, because we had been internet friends for a while now, but never met in person until that day! We had such a blast filming our little Peter Parker Vlog. It makes me laugh every time I rewatch it.

Looking back on the first couple weeks of May, I'm realizing how busy things were! That Wednesday, Shay and I went to a carnival/early screening on the Paramount lot for the new movie IF, which was a film about if you could see your imaginary friends as an adult! I didn't expect it to hit me as hard as it did, but Shay and I both left the theater in tears. I think a lot of it had to do with the fact that we had both just moved out of our childhood homes. The plot hit a little different right after that.

Then Friday was Shay's birthday! Definitely another eventful day, because we took an adventure to go pick up a couch, and spent the day setting it up! And that night we ended up checking out a go-cart place, and went to a bar to celebrate.

The week after that was basically starting to get into a routine. Still figuring out our move-in process and what we needed, etc etc. It takes a while to get settled into a new space! I also took some time to explore more of the LA area, and found my new favorite comic book shop, House of Secrets! I've been a couple of times now since moving here, and I absolutely love how they have all the new comics, as well as vintage ones lining every wall. Such a cool store! And Shay and I finally also got around to buying ourselves mattresses (we had been sleeping on air mattresses for most of the first month!) and that definitely felt like a big check off our to do list!

Last Thursday we went back to Disneyland one more time as a fun day trip and a chance to do some creative Disneybounds! Shay just got her Kermit Nuimo, and I had my Hulk Nuimo, so we did a themed "Green Pals Disneybounds!". I honestly didn't think I would ever do a Bruce Disneybound, but I had so much fun putting together a themed Hulk outfit for the day! And a big bonus was that it was extremely comfy 😂

As I am writing this, I'm actually prepping to head back to Boston--wait what? Boston?!

I know. I JUST got to Cali! But I had to plan a trip to go home because of a few family things that are happening in the month of June, and a family vacation that we had planned since before I knew I was moving! So it's back to MA for me for a bit. But I already know that the month will fly by! I'll be back to Cali before I can even blink.

Thank you all for coming with me on the first month of this journey so far! It's been a wild ride, and it's just the beginning! I can't wait to see what is in store next :)
